For the record, I am not a fan of cheap or disposable fashion. While it is true that I can’t find new navy blue shirts at my local thrift store, I am not about to let my old navy near me go to waste. I love the look and feel of a new navy shirt, but the fact is that I don’t like the idea of using it as a work shirt. I would rather keep it as a casual wear shirt.
I actually thought the new navy look was a little dated and a little strange at first. For me, it works just fine as a casual wear shirt. But as soon as you put on the dress shirt with the collar closed, it looks downright silly. I am a fan of the look, but I think it looks like something out of a science fiction movie.
To me, the new navy is a great way to add some class to your wardrobe, but then again, I think it might just be a little too casual. After all, if you want to wear it to a board game night or something, you will probably wear it as a dress shirt, and there are better ways to dress a casual wear shirt. Although I like it, it is not something I would wear to school.
